“the more we retreat from the culture at large the more room we will have to carve out lives of meaning, the more we will be able to wall off the flood of illusions disseminated by mass culture and the more we will retain sanity in an insane world. The goal will become the ability to endure.” “No tyranny in history has crushed the human capacity for love. The mediocrities who mask their feelings of worthlessness and emptiness behind the façade of power and illusion, who seek to make us serve their perverse ideologies, fear most the power of love. … Love will endure, even if it appears darkness has swallowed us all, to triumph over the wreckage that remains.” -Chris Hedges, Empire of Illusion

“faith is not a matter of what we have or what we hope to get in this life. faith is about who we are becoming in our whole heart in this life and the eternal love in our eternity. faith is not for asking or taking but for sharing, growing, loving, caring and for cultivating a world of beauty, truth, and goodness beginning with us in us in Christ. prayer is not for demanding or condemning or condoning, prayer is for listening, for hearing, for healing, and for growing. the real purity of love is the fruit of our deepening faith and daily prayer unceasingly as our inner peace in the way of God Almighty, the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit holds us always safe in the center of every storm without fear. for it is the strong calm man and woman capable of great endurance and courage that knows their faith and love alone in Christ strengthens and sustains them in this world and makes them worthy of Eternal Love, Peace, and Life in Our Lord forever til the end of all time.” -Owen Joseph/shannan suzzette

“Jesus offers us New Life today. He is Risen. Let us always be united with Christ Our Lord, both in His suffering on The Cross and in His Eternal Love and Life in us. May we always look upon The Cross and Blessed Sacrament as a pure gift of New Life from the Heart of Jesus and may we gain strength and courage every day to carry our own cross with truth, goodness, and beauty as we die in every way to the old way of self-indulgence and self-gratification to be born again into the true dignity of life in humble self-giving to one another with a growing and deepening devotion to the Humble Purity of Heart in Christ, tasting the sweet holiness of real love, hope, charity, peace, and eternal life til the end of all time in us. everything God gave us is for giving. let us always forgive and seek to live in the Truth, the Life, and the Way of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.” -Owen Joseph/shannan suzzette

1 Corinthians Chapter 13 – “Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails.” 1 If I speak in human and angelic tongues* but do not have love, I am a resounding gong or a clashing cymbal.a 2 And if I have the gift of prophecy and comprehend all mysteries and all knowledge; if I have all faith so as to move mountains but do not have love, I am nothing.b 3 If I give away everything I own, and if I hand my body over so that I may boast but do not have love, I gain nothing.c 4 * Love is patient, love is kind. It is not jealous, [love] is not pompous, it is not inflated,d 5 it is not rude, it does not seek its own interests, it is not quick-tempered, it does not brood over injury,e 6 it does not rejoice over wrongdoing but rejoices with the truth. 7 It bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.f 8 * Love never fails. If there are prophecies, they will be brought to nothing; if tongues, they will cease; if knowledge, it will be brought to nothing. 9 For we know partially and we prophesy partially, 10 but when the perfect comes, the partial will pass away. 11 When I was a child, I used to talk as a child, think as a child, reason as a child; when I became a man, I put aside childish things. 12 At present we see indistinctly, as in a mirror, but then face to face. At present I know partially; then I shall know fully, as I am fully known.g 13 * So faith, hope, love remain, these three;h but the greatest of these is love.
